Wood fired pizza and bread ovens are probably the most adaptable outdoor catering facilities. Not only can they be used for making pizzas and bread, but because they can retain their heat for long periods, you can take advantage of the different stages in the heat cycle to cook a huge variety of food including fish, casseroles, large meat joints, cakes and desserts.
This pre-cast oven kit is made from high quality refractory materials and come in 7 manageable sections, together with the following:
• 2 tubes of heat resistant silicone,
• a cast iron door with heat resistant glass,
• a door thermometer capable of reading temperatures up to 500°C,
• a stainless steel metal chimney flue with cowl and damper, and
• 5kg outdoor oven cement
Whether you purchase a ready made pizza oven or build your own, you will need to build a suitable plinth for your oven.
The most efficient pizza ovens are well insulated, increasing their thermal qualities and optimising performance.
We provide an optional insulation module for this oven comprising:
• 7m Ceramic Fibre Blanket
• 2 tubes of Ceramic Fibre Adhesive
• 5m wire mesh
• 2 x 20kg Outdoor oven cement
• 50mm Ceramic Fibre Board
This will enable you to add Ceramic Fibre Board to the base, before building your oven. Once the oven has been fired once or twice, you can attach the ceramic fibre blanket with the adhesive, then apply the wire mesh before rendering with outdoor oven cement to make it waterproof.
The beauty of this well designed product is that you can decide what finish you would like to apply to your oven, be it paint, tiles or mosaic.
