The Milwaukee Offset BBQ Smoker is a large, attention grabbing Western style BBQ smoker made from thick gauge steel. As with most offset smokers, it is extremely versatile, enabling you to choose from a variety of cooking methods.
The obvious one is to use the side chamber to smoke your food slowly at a low temperature of between 80°C and 130°C. The smoke builds up in the lower side chamber and thanks to the inlet and outlet vents, is drawn through to the cooking chamber, infusing the food with tasty smokiness whilst it retains its natural juices. A built-in thermometer on the cooking chamber enables you to monitor the heat within. You can control the heat and intensity of the smoke with the vents. Try different woods too for subtle changes to the flavour.
Alternatively, you can grill your food in the traditional BBQ way, over hot coals with the lid open. Or use a technique that many BBQ gourmets prefer, indirect cooking where the food is cooked in an enclosed space without placing it right above the flames.
The side chamber has a removable ash collector, making it easy to clean out.
This BBQ Smoker is trolley mounted with two large steel wheels to aid manoeuvrability and a useful storage shelf. There is a handy shelf in front of the cooking chamber for food preparation and utensils.
The cooking chamber will hold up to 4kg charcoal, whilst the side chamber will take up to 2kg charcoal or wood.
