Whilst the polished steel Paella Pan is traditional in Spain, Enamelled steel paella pans are still very popular in Spain.
It is easier to keep the Enamelled Steel Pans clean than it it is the Polished steel friends. The Enammeled Steel Paella Pans are also oven proof-proof if you want to finish your dish off in the oven.
A polished steel pan should be kept "Oiled" to ensure it does not rust, however, these Enammeled Pans fropm Garcima do not need to be kept oiled when not in use and will look as good as new after many years.
Our "La Ideal" enamelled paella pans from Garcima are of a very high quality. Made from cold laminated steel and spun to form their pan shape and then enamelled in the company's own kilns in Spain. Garcima also use a thicker gauge steel than other paella pan manufactuers to produce a stronger that is less likely to warp.
As with all of our paella pans, Each pan has a traditional "dimpled" base to that will help distribute the heat evenly & quickly. The base of these paella pans is also slightly concave, this will ensure that the oil collects at the bottome when frying your ingredients, frequently known as "creating the sofrito"!
They can be used on gas and induction electric hobs as well as our paella gas burners & open fires.
Each pan size is measured from the top edge (excluding handles) but to help you select the correct size pan we have added a key to explain the approximate number of servings each pan can give.
