Based on the design of the popular and proven Kent bat box, this box benefits from the added protection of a weatherproof outer shell made from recycled plastic. Shielding the wood roosting crevices, the shell which slots together using a tab system instead of fixings which may corrode, makes the box more secure, draft proof and durable.
The box itself is made from locally sourced spruce, which has been rough sawn to provide the bats with a good grip. With two 18mm wide crevices, this bat box is ideal for common and soprano pipstrelles.
Suitable for mounting on buildings or trees, this box is self-cleaning and requires no maintenance as bat droppings simply fall out of the crevices.
Please note: All bats and roosts are protected by law and you should only open a bat box to check it if you hold an appropriate licence.
