If you love sausages, but prefer to know what ingredients have been used in them or have special dietary requirements such as a gluten intolerance (coeliac) or are vegetarian/vegan, then what better than to make your own sausages?
This Sausage Stuffer comprises a steel housing, stainless steel canister, a set of three plastic funnels of varying sizes and two clamps to hold the stuffer securely in place. Easy to assemble, with full instructions, the canister has a generous 5lb capacity so you will not have to keep stopping to refill the stuffer.
With a wide range of sausage types to choose from – fresh meat, vegetarian or vegan, air dried sausages such as salami, chorizo or pepperoni, smoked sausages like andouille, bauerwurst and kielbasa – you could be kept busy trying out different recipes!
Once you have made up your chosen sausage mix, pack it firmly into the canister, select the appropriate sized funnel and slide on a casing, tying the end. Now simply rotate the handle clockwise, maintaining some pressure around the casing towards the end of the funnel to ensure the casing is packed firmly. When you have finished, tie the end of the casing and twist or hog ring your sausages accordingly.
When you have finished making your sausages, release the handle slowly in case it kicks back, then disassemble the stuffer as instructed for washing and maintenance.
