Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) is stronger and lighter than precast concrete. In addition it is more durable and resilient than other similar material and can be finished in a variety of textures.
Satu Bumi is an Indonesian company that specialise in products made with GFRC and utilise a colouring technique whereby an oxide wash is infused into the body of the pot during curing, then finished with a special paint made for use with concrete. In this way, they are able to achieve fabulous vibrant colours.
