In Spain and Portugal, churrasco is a term referring to beef or more generally, grilled meat. A churrascaria is usually taken to be a steakhouse or restaurant serving grilled meat where waiters move around the restaurant with large skewers, slicing meat onto patron’s plates. A popular serving style in Brazil, where the term churrasco means barbecue (similar to the Argentinean, Uruguayan, Paraquayan and Chilean asado, which literally translates to “roast or roasted”).
The exterior of this BBQ oven is coated with a black epoxy paint for added durability whilst the interior is enamelled steel and has a fat collection tray, all of which make it easier to clean. The infrared gas burner benefits from automatic ignition and is incredibly economical and smoke-free.
With anti-slip feet, the oven it very stable and safe. A curved glass door provides better air circulation, improving heat distribution for faster, uniform cooking and of course, you can monitor your food without having to open the door and lose heat.
Supplied with two single and one triple v-shaped skewers, it is perfect for chicken, fish, beef, pork, sausages, etc and of course, vegetables. The skewers have 45cm long blades with 12cm long cool touch wooden handles. With a capacity of 1.5kg per skewer, the v-shape is designed to hold food securely, preventing it from spinning during the cooking process.
The rotisserie is mains operated allowing you to rotate the skewers (6 times per minute) for even grilling of meat. The meat is self-basting and healthier, maximising its succulence and flavour.
It can be used with butane or propane gas, although propane is preferable. A length of gas hose is included, although you will need to purchase your own regulator depending which gas you decide to use.
