More of a Tawny Owl Nest tube than a Tawny Owl Nest box, but equipped with a drained floor and an easy access hatch for cleaning at the end of the season (shown in picture in a closed position).

Attached at an angle of about 45 degrees, the tube (Tawny Owl Nest Box)  suits a variety of owls, doves, etc.

The Tawny Owl Nest Box works extremely well on a site where an old tree or other nest site, e.g. a barn, has been removed.

The Tawny Owl Nest box can be attached to a tree directly using a strap, old belt of some sort or using galvanised nails. A belt or strap is recommended.

Barn Owl nest box

This completely  new "chalet" incorporates all the essential features for the safe rearing of owlets. Thoughtfully designed with advice from the Barn Owl Trust and other experts during the design stages.

Features that provide for the safe rearing of owlets and effective but simple management of the Barn Owl Nest box include:-

• Manufactured from forest sustainable exterior grade timber.
• Generous drained floor of approx. 300 sq. inches.
• Full width front platform with sturdy edging for owlets to exercise on.
• Full 17" depth from pophole to floor.

Specially drilled backplate in the Nest Box providing fixing holes above and below the Nest box and oversized holes to accommodate ropes for hauling the box up the tree and locating it. The backplate is reinforced top and bottom with sturdy battening and allows for unevenness of the tree trunk.

Double inspection hatch allowing full access to the whole floor area and facilitates cleaning or inspection from either side of the Nest Box. Both hatches are water-resistant at the edges and are held in position with draw bolts.

A generous weather "canopy" that protects both the pophole and the landing platform from the worst weather.

A lightweight but robust construction strengthened with internal battens but still only weighing approx. 8.5kgs.

Little Owl or Large Bird Nest Box -

A large bird nest box that is also ideal as a Little Owl Nest box - this nest box is roughly 3 times the size of the standard bird nest box - it comes with convenient access for cleaning through its hinged roof with a latch lock.

The Little Owl or Large Bird Nest Box is very versatile and can house many of the larger birds such as Doves, Jackdaws, Pigeons, Thrushes.

The front aperture is large enough to be able to see who is in occupation, but don't look too often or you may put them off!
