Wireless Nest Box Camera System

A fantastic, well built & easy to use complete nest box camera system that is ready to install in your garden. The system has everything you need to be able to start you very own springwatch and watching birds nesting on your own TV or PC.

A compact, simple to use system that includes a purpose built multi species nest box with a safe housing for the camera. The entrance hole is 32mm allowing access to a wide variety of birds, this panel is also removable making it ideal for the British Robin! The nest Box is made from solid Cedar wood, from sustainable sources and manufactured to a very high quality.

Suitable for - Blue Tits / Coal Tits / Marsh Tits / Great Tits / House Sparrows / Robins (with the front panel removed).

With only a few cables to connect, which are colour coded for ease of use, you can have the nest box camera connected and viewed on TV within minutes.

Our Wireless nest box camera systems - The wireless transmitters and receivers used in our 'wireless' systems have been chosen based on thorough research and testing by the manufacturer. With out a doubt, they offer the best value and performance available.

Generally, it is advocated that a 100 metre range is possible with a wireless camera system, our manufacturer has not found any reliability above 40 metres. You should therefore check this information carefully with any retailer before purchase.

Our Wireless nest box cameras employ a separate transmitter and camera in our wireless kits. Both camera and transmitter neatly fit into the sliding drawer of our nest boxes enabling you to achieve reliable transmission ranges of up to 40m in typical conditions. However, our camera systems are different as you can fit an extension lead between the camera and transmitter should you want to increase the distance between the nest box camera system and your TV or PC back in the house.

Any wireless kit requires a power source to power the camera and transmitter. As it is illegal to disturb nesting birds it is not practical to fit batteries into the actual nest box so there will always be a requirement for a cable to come from the nest box/camera to a convenient power source. Our wireless kits use 12vDC and are supplied with a 12v mains power adapter (which looks very similar to a mobile phone charger) and 10m DC power cable. The adapter needs to be plugged into a mains power socket typically situated in a shed or garage. However, the kit can also be powered by a 12v leisure battery (as used in caravaning and camping) if you require (not supplied). Solar panel chargers are also available.

Each system includes:

• Very good quality bird nest box with a built in sliding draw and quick release camera bracket (Camera can be moved between boxes in seconds!)
• Very good quality mini video camera with built in Infrared Illumination - this enables night vision inside the nest box! 
• Internal camera microphone to hear as well as see what’s going on inside the Bird Box.
• User adjustable focus lenses. (Can easily be adjusted to ensure pin sharp images)
• Wireless Transmitter and Receiver kit.
• 12v Regulated Mains adapter
• Kit to fix all components in place

Colour or Black and White - the cameras are available in colour or black and white. Both have night vision, please be aware - the colour camera produces a black and white image at night when the infra red lights are on.
