• Kestrel Nest Boxes should be placed near to fields, hedgerows, meadows or the edge of woods and farms. This will ensure a good supply of food.
• A Kestrel Nest Box should be between 10 and 30 feet high.
• To encourage Kestrels, you could place 2 to 3 inches of untreated sawdust/wood shavings in the nest box floor.
